Tring Choral Society's first recorded concert took place
in the Victoria Hall in 1894. The Society today has over 80 members, both male
and female, and performs three concerts a year in the Church of St Peter and St
Paul, Tring.
We have performed many
of the great choral works, together with some lighter pieces and a triennial Christmas
concert, often with singers from local schools. The
choir holds social events too, and often provides singers for joint choir ventures
and charity events. The choir has been conducted by Colin Stevens since
1973. Concerts are accompanied by the Chiltern Orchestral Society and use professional
soloists.choir news | |
